This page explains the categories and choices available on the " Build a Plan " page in order to assist in customizing your reading plan.
Next, choose whether or not you want to include scriptures. WBP offers ebooks that serve as an guide if you want to use your own Bible but still want a reading plan.
Select a duration. For the more aggressive, read the entire Bible in as little as 3 months or for the most leisurely, read the entire Bible in as long as 3 years. Or, instead of a set duration, read from 1 to 6 chapters per day. Optionally, create a custom plan by entering the reading start and reading end dates.
30 Days
Use this with the 30 Day 1 Book theme and intensively study a single book for a month.
3 month
For the most aggressive readers, read the Bible cover to cover by investing 45-60 minutes a day. In 90 days you'll see the big picture of God's great story unfold before you.
6 Month
In just 30-45 minutes per day, you could read the entire Bible, cover to cover, over the course of 6 months. Choose a Historical Reading Plan and read the Bible in the order the books were written. Whatever your pace, the point is to make daily Bible reading a habit.
9 Month
The Bible is a rich treasure and gift to us from God. A daily reading program that weaves together both testaments in an enlightening and enriching experience of our history as God's people.
12 month
The one year plan! Commit 10-15 minutes each day and read the entire Bible in 1 year. Mix it up by choosing from several themes. Read every day, 5 days or 6 days per week. Whatever your interest or time availability, we've got you covered.
18 month
Choose a "Straight" Reading Plan and Read from Genesis to Revelation (and the Apocrypha if available) in 18 months.
24 month
Take your time to read the entire Bible, cover to cover, in 2 years. Choose a Chronological Reading Plan and read the Bible in the order the events occurred.
36 month
Our most leisurely plan. Spend 3-5 minutes per day and read the entire Bible, including the Apocrypha (if available in your version), in 3 years. Choose a "Sectional" plan and read daily from the Old and New Testaments, Psalms, and Proverbs
Chapter
Read 1 - 6 Chapters per Day. The duration is dependent on the number of chapters in your specific version. Chapter duration can be used with the following themes: Straight (Genesis to Revelation, 1 Book Deep Dive, Old Testament Only, New Testament Only, Psalms & Proverbs, Old Testament Major & Minor Prophets, Torah, Apostles & Paul, Apocrypha, and Genre by Chapter)
Custom Duration
Create a custom plan with specified reading start and end dates.
Next, choose a theme. Different themes are ways of mixing things up a bit.
Read the Entire Bible straight through from Genesis to Revelation.
For a little variety, read each day from the Old Testament, New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs.
Read once through the Old Testament and twice through the New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs.
This plan is for those who wish to intensely study a single bible book for a selected amount of time. WBP recommends a 1 chapter per day duration with commentary.
Read 5 minutes (1 Chapter) per day, Monday through Friday, and finish the New Testament in 1 Year. Saturday and Sunday are to be used for reflection.
Developed by WBP. Read 10 minutes (2 Chapters) per day, Monday through Friday, and finish the New Testament in 6 Months. Saturday and Sunday are to be used for reflection.
Read through the New Testament and Psalms twice and the Old Testament once. The 1843 M'Cheyne plan has two sets of readings; The " Family " set is meant to read by a group or family while the " Secret " set is meant to be read and studied by the individual.
This plan was created by Michael Coley at Bible-Reading.com. Each day, read from 1 of 7 different genres (Epistles, The Law, History, Psalms, Poetry, Prophecy, and Gospels).
This theme is a variation of the Genre theme custom designed by a requestor. Each day, depending on the number of chapters per day you choose, read 7 different genres (Epistles, The Law, History, Psalms, Poetry, Prophecy, and Gospels). See Example If you choose 1 chapter per day, you will read one chapter from "Epistles" one day and one chapter from "The Law" the next day, etc. If you choose 2 chapters per day, you will read one chapter from both "Epistles" and "The Law" one day, then History and Psalms the next day, etc.
The Thematic Bible Reading Plan developed by Craig DesJardins at www.faithtacoma.org. Each Day, read from multiple books that have a thematic association with each other. In one year, you will have read the entire Bible.
The System Bible Reading Plan developed by Professor Grant Horner. Read more about "The System" at Sohmer.net. Read 10 chapters each day from different sections of the Bible. In one year, you will have read many books multiple times and some books once. See matrix for details.

Next, choose the readings per day. You can read once (AM or PM), or twice (AM and PM).
Next choose to read by verse or by paragraph. Bible versions that have right to left reading only come in verse mode. Examples
